I had an iSkin case (rubber) and worked for my 2G and 3G. work for both chains. The dock will not work 2g not to 3G

I did a little research and realize some of the factors include: the version firmware, Active Sync vs. Mobile Me vs anything else?, iTunes, etc. but I could not find. It seems that the boss wants is not possible with earlier versions of the firmware - but with later versions, there is a possibility that limited success - if you skipped all the flaming hoops through without burning.
