Problems with my iPhone, V 1.1.4?

My iphone does not connect to my phone computer.es on the bench "and all is connected, and when I plug the USB into the computer, nothing happens.I tried every usb "opportunity" and still nothing, but when I have the phone in the dock and the charger Cable is connected (for mains), which works very well. I open iTunes but now, since the phone does not connect, I can not restore, put photos from my phone to my computer, and so on. Is this a problem with the phone or computer? Any help much appreciated.

If you brought an American 3G iPhone with the SIM card from AT & T would have in a foreign country outside the United States?

When I I say that will not work and receive calls when in fact I mean is activated and function normally without calling features. I live outside of America and want to unlock iPhone in my country. I can not do in the U.S. because my aunt is buying me. THANK YOU! I will not use a SIM card from AT & T, but a local SIM card

GSM is supported through the world and is the system used by AT & T. The problem could be the bands used, but only uses around 1900.
